Paris ou Berlin?

When talking about the modern art exhibition "Dysfashional", this question does not need to be posed. Until November 29th, magazine cut-outs, various live installations et tout le bataclan can be found in the Passage du Desir in Paris. And - voilĂ  - come June 2010, the fashion exhibit will grace Berlin with its presence.

Rather than focusing on past designs, trends or the evolution of fashion, "Dysfashional" aims to capture the everything surrounding the actual clothing: inspiration, public opinion, press coverage and the influence of fashion on society are only some themes that the various works of art address.

“Dysfashional tackles the seemingly frivolous yet vital realm of fashion by examining the approach of designers and artists from various backgrounds, bringing us closer to a world in which the protagonists are not the objects but the creative process itself.” (Luca Marchetti, one of the show's curators// via TheMoment)

Exhibiting artists include Hussein Chalayan, Antonio Marras, Maison Martin Margiela, Gaspard Yurkievich, Sissel Tolaas, Marc Turlan, Raf Simons and many more. See the official website for more information regarding opening hours, ticket prices etc. One thing's for sure - I can't wait until June!
